In June 2024, Grupo Sofonías conducted the study “Connecting Knowledge: Transfer of Swiss Expertise to Strengthen Capacities in the Design and Development of Sustainable Social Housing among Actors in the Construction Value Chain in Colombia.”

Advances in Decarbonizing Construction in Mexico

In August 2024, specialists from Grupo Sofonias and Red Ecosur conducted a consultancy in Mexico focused on the implementation of LC3 cement, a material that contributes to reducing CO2 emissions. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Mexico and Holcim Mexico, aiming to build sustainable housing and reduce the environmental impact of the construction process.

LC3 DAY IN PORTUGAL

On Tuesday May 28, 2024, more than 220 people interested in the theme gathered at the National Laboratory for engineering (LNEC) in Lisbon for a full day of presentations and dialogue. After the inauguration by the Director of the LNEC, scientific knowledge was presented as well as outlooks into the worldwide and also the national perspectives for the new technology.
